I'm Jenn Miller. After graduating from college, I immediately started working. You might not be aware of this about me, but for the majority of my adult life, I battled burnout. To be entirely honest, it took me a long time to realize that I had never made a decision for myself in my entire life. When I found myself seeking happiness, one of two things would occur:
- I would do more and add more to my plate thinking that I could find happiness through other people.
- I would do nothing and stay in toxic situations that did not serve me because I felt like it was safe.
In reality, I was incredibly insecure and rarely satisfied. I ALWAYS felt like I was treading carefully, and I couldn't tolerate speaking up for fear of being despised. I had no boundaries, no self-love, and I didn't value myself because I was afraid of being laughed at and rejected. Until I woke up. I decided to pay attention to the voice inside telling me I was intended for more and that I am worthy. I spent a LOT of money on my own self-development during my transformation process before realizing that I was inviting burnout and stress because I did not appreciate myself.
It was really a hard pill to swallow.
During my recovery, I discovered a very crucial lesson.
Your happiness has NOTHING to do with what others think of you,
it has everything to do with what YOU think of yourself.
I was experiencing burnout because I didn't respect myself. My BEING was attracting people who were a reflection of who I was on the inside. I had no limits since I didn't think I was deserving of more.
I couldn't leave a job fearlessly and start living my life until I discovered how to speak up for myself and value who I am. Now that I've made the necessary changes to live an aligned life, I'm ready to share them with you and explain how these tools can greatly assist you in doing the same.
